As a home owner who had never built any house, much less a log home, Hank Schaffeld made my dream home possible. In the early stages when I had only land and a well, Hank took the time to talk with me about building a small, 800 square foot, rustic cabin, including what species of logs to use (pencil cedar), what size (12 inch), and what type of log construction (tongue and groove). He recommended the contractor I used to build the home. Sierra provided the final plans, but Hank and I drew up the basic floor plan of what I wanted. The house eventually grew into a 3,800 foot retirement/vacation home and Hank was with me in the construction project from start to finish. He helped me choose and ordered all the Pella doors and windows and the indoor doors as well. He gave me great advice on design and décor even when it had nothing to do with what he was being paid for.

Hank is a very honest, sincere, likeable and knowledgeable log home broker, but he is much more than that, and I could not have built my log home without him.
